The kids in my neighborhood would take big trash can lids and turn them into sleds! One time, it snowed enough to do this when I was like 11 or 12, but I had a broken collarbone or hand that prevented me from participating. I just thought Sadbook should know that.
we did something similar once when we were at the ravine we used to play in... we had the round top of a sandbox cover, which worked well, & then some big black trash bags, which sort of worked. & it was very steep which made a fun/nervewracking experience...
That's great. We've had this layer of ice over the snow for a week now here, and I've been sort of impromptu skating on it with my beach slides! It actually works.
