I made my first website in 1998. It sucked, but it was fun to learn the code. That was back when getting an image to display was incredible, and putting a GIF on the screen was the absolute height of technology. Today, you can do so much more awesome stuff, but there's also a world of amazing stuff out there competing for eyeballs and minds.
I think I'd use an LLM if I needed to create a site from scratch today, just side by side as my copilot. I wouldn't ask creative type questions, but having a cyborg tutor would help a ton. Not sure if this is an option for you, but I've found them to be helpful in step-by-step stuff like this.
