Yeah, I've actually never drawn on vellum! But I always thought the historical context was cool, I was very into the middle ages at one point, and illuminated manuscripts
Art school might have been more interesting for me if I had thought more about stuff like that back then, but... well hey, I had to live my life first, I guess! But I look back with a lot more curiosity these days at materials I didn't use back then.
